Exclusive interview with Niklas Harding (Step #006):

Paul: Niklas, what is a place in your life for the music?
Niklas: I need to understand what do you mean exactly :)
Paul: I mean... For example you have studies, you work and so on. And is the place you find for yourself for the music especially.
Niklas: I've been djing for 5-6 years and producing for a couple of years now. I'm really happy to travel around the world and see different places, and speak to a lot of nice people, have a lot of fun. That's really important. It's part of my life.
Paul: What do you plan, you want to make your life completely full of music?
Niklas: That would be cool indeed. If it's gonna be possible to make it fulltime. I've got a school now as well. So when I finish a school I hopefully can concentrate 100% on music!
Paul: Do you have fans and how do you maintain the relations with them?
Niklas: I guess I have fans around. I have a lot of people listening to my radioshow on the internet. And people come from different places to see me when I play. I'm really honoured about that!
Paul: You have some relations or some contacts with your fans?
Niklas: Yep, I do. I speak to people through email and ppl email me and also MSN. That's how I keep the contact with them.
Paul: Nik, how much the popularity is important for you and how does it influence (make an impact) on you?
Niklas: Well, of course if you're popular you get more gigs, you get more sales. The more gigs' the better. That why I think it's really funny to play my tracks. And the popularity is important thing in this business.
Paul: How do you see yourself in life and music in 5 years?
Niklas: Hopefully I will have a lot of success, a lot of records. Hopefully I will play in the major big events, travel even more around the world. That's what I hope :)
Paul: So, music career and nothing other?
Niklas: If it is possible, it would be really nice!
Paul: What you parents think about your creation and in general the music direction you work in?
Niklas: I think that it's just a prob of me and I think they really like that I'm doing something different that having something alike a job in local supermarket. I travel around earning my money for the rent. That what I think.
Paul: Niklas, let us see. Somebody proposes you a huge amount of money, which is overflowing (enough and much more) for you for whole your life? Could you decline (reject) the music and start to make something other in such situation?
Niklas: No, I don't think so. I always have some kind of love to the music. I've been in this whole music business since I was 12, 13, 14 years old. So I grew up with the whole music things. It's a part of me!
