Hi, Piet! How are you feel today? |
| Piet: |
I feel very good, very tired and very happy. |
| Paul: |
How do you find the evolution of trance music this days? |
| Piet: |
There are deejays who're still playing the old kind of trance and some deejayz
are developing in playing other styles of trance and I think that very good
example is Sander van Doorn! He is doing very well. |
| Paul: |
Why it is? Because people played clear trance all time... |
| Piet: |
It's very simple. Imagine yourself eating french frite every day. After a couple
of years you're really seek and tired of it! So you want to change. I think it
is good for the music because if you have old type of music for the years and years
you get bored. So it's good for the music! |
| Paul: |
So next question arises. What you plan for future, which style? Possible more alike
your Mac J project, Beats at Rank-1.com track or more progressive style? What do you
plan for yourself? |
| Piet: |
If you make the track in studio you can make it poppy with guitar and vocals and you
can do another mix for the clubs. So you can make the club mix more techy,
trancy or whatever. And you can do a nice mix to listen to it as well. |
| Paul: |
What you can say about the concurrence inside the european scene? It's agressive or
it's polite? |
| Piet: |
I think there are some dj's who're agressive to each other and the most of theme are
polite to each other because how many people do we have in the world, it's big enough! |
| Paul: |
Yep, it's big enough, but if to see the tendence with the first places in the rankings,
all the people want it! |
| Piet: |
It's my problem, I hate rankings. |
| Paul: |
What you plan for the future, for next years? |
| Piet: |
My most important goal is to be healthy. You know that music is a fashion and I have
the opportunity to make a living out of music. It's the best thing I have. |
